Hello, and welcome to Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association’s website. 

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association was established in 1922 to aid producers in the marketing, managing, and financing of their agricultural businesses.  I am proud to say that Equity continues to provide these same basic services currently, while utilizing the advances achieved during it history. 

Presently the organization operates 11Wisconsin auction markets located in Altoona, Barron, Bonduel, Johnson Creek, Lomira, Marion, Monroe, Reedsville, Richland Center, Sparta, and Stratford.  In addition Equity operates an auction market in Waukon, Iowa, has livestock collection points at Ettrick, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan, and a private treaty livestock buying center at Arlington, Wisconsin.

In order to serve our patron/members Equity also operates an Electronic Lamb Auction, Risk Management Division, Special Fed Veal Division, Calf Division and a Field Service Division.           

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association’s wholly owned subsidiary Equity Livestock Credit Corporation provides financing through its various lending programs.

As a federated cooperative, headquartered in Baraboo, Wisconsin, all of Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association’s common stock is owned by 34 local shipping associations.  These shipping associations are the link between the parent cooperative and the patron members.  The patron members are responsible for electing peers to represent them on the 10 person regional board of directors.

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is Wisconsin’s largest and the nation’s second largest independent livestock marketing agency.  In 2008 over 942,000 head of livestock was marketed through Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association’s various divisions producing over $468 million of value.

Three hundred seventy five full and part-time employees, working as a team provide our members with the value and service they deserve.  We are committed to our patron members and welcome their input.
