   Grain Sector Painted Red as Government Deadline Nears

   December corn closed down 11 3/4 cents, November soybeans were down 25 1/2
cents and December contracts of all three wheats were down 21 1/4 to 37
1/4-cents, pressured by a variety of factors including two USDA reports and the
approaching deadline for a government shutdown.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   December corn closed down 11 3/4 cents and July corn was down 10 3/4 cents.
November soybeans closed down 25 1/2 cents and July soybeans were down 16
cents. December KC wheat closed down 21 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was
down 37 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 37 3/4 cents.
