College & Technical College Scholarships Annually, Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association offers scholarships to youth. One $1,250 4-year or univertisty scholarship is awarded in each of Equity’s 10 districts, as well as four general $1,000 technical college scholarships. Students applying much have completed two or more semesters at a 4-year or university college, or at least one semester at a technical college. The student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above, on a 4.0 scale. Either the student, their parent(s) or grandparents(s) must be an active shipping member of employee of Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association. “As we look to the future of agriculture, our board of directors is dedicated to helping today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders,” says Curt Larson, President and CEO. “Our goal is to encourage more young people to pursue agricultural careers.” Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is a federated cooperative headquartered in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Equity operates 11 auction markets and has a collection point in Menominee, Michigan, and a hog and cattle marketing center in Arlington, Wisconsin.
