Butter - Central U.S.

Released on May 07, 2025

Cream volumes are available, but some butter makers say ice cream makers are
increasingly pulling on inventories. Butter makers are running busy production
schedules, though some report increased demand for cream is pushing multiples
up from last week. Some processors are freezing butter for use later in the
year. Spot loads of butter are available for purchasing. Domestic butter demand
is meeting butter makers' seasonal expectations. Stakeholders say domestic
butter prices are priced well below internationally produced butter, and this
is contributing to an uptick in export interest.
